LP System Alarm

If you smell gas or if you LP detector goes off:

Extinguish any open flames, pilot lights and all smoking materials.

Shut off the gas supply at the tank valve or gas supply connection and open doors and any non-powered vents.

Leave the area until the odor clears and then check your LP hoses for any leaks.  If this isn’t the problem, give us a call at Camp-A-Rama 270-527-1374 and we will track down the leak for you.

However, be aware that if the LP detector goes off and you do NOT smell gas (rotten egg smell), it could be an entirely different cause.  LP detectors are sensitive and it can be as simple as spraying something like hair spray or Pam; The battery in the alarm can be dead or dying; the weather can be unusually hot or cold.  If you push the reset button and it does not go off again, it was probably a false alarm.

As a safety precaution, do NOT use your stove as a heat source.
